On 12th April 2026, our NGO, the Rebati Ranjan Bhowmik Memorial Charitable Society, successfully organized a Free Health Checkup Camp at Pati Colony, Sporting Club, Siliguri Junction, with the aim of promoting preventive healthcare and creating awareness among the local community. The camp witnessed an overwhelming response from residents of nearby areas, reflecting the growing need for accessible and affordable healthcare services.

The event featured free Bone Mineral Density (BMD) testing, helping individuals assess their bone health and detect early signs of conditions like Osteoporosis. A large number of people, including senior citizens and middle-aged individuals, actively participated in the screening process. Our dedicated team of healthcare professionals ensured that each attendee received proper guidance, consultation, and support throughout the camp.

This initiative was conducted in association with the Lions Club of Bagdogra Galaxy and was proudly sponsored by Galaxy Hospital and Galaxy Diagnostic Centre. Their continuous support played a crucial role in making this event successful and impactful. Together, we aimed to bridge the gap between healthcare services and the community, especially for those who may not have easy access to regular medical checkups.

Beyond diagnostics, the camp also focused on spreading awareness about maintaining a healthy lifestyle, emphasizing the importance of early detection and timely medical intervention. Informative discussions and one-on-one interactions helped participants better understand their health conditions and encouraged them to adopt preventive measures.

Overall, the event was a great success, marked by active community participation, efficient service delivery, and positive feedback from attendees. It reaffirmed our NGO’s commitment to serving society and strengthening community health. We look forward to organizing more such initiatives in the future, continuing our mission to make quality healthcare accessible to all.
